Role Overview:
As a Home Health Wound Care Specialist, you will assess, treat, and manage various types of wounds to promote healing and prevent infection. Your expertise ensures seniors remain comfortable, safe, and supported while receiving in-home care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate wounds, document their condition, and implement appropriate treatments.
- Perform dressing changes, apply bandages, and recommend preventative measures.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about wound care best practices.
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to optimize outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse or Licensed Nurse with specialized wound care certification preferred.
- Experience with wound care in a home health or clinical setting.
- Attention to detail, infection control knowledge, and strong assessment skills.
