Role Overview:
As a Home Health Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will help seniors overcome communication and swallowing challenges. Your personalized intervention plans will restore or enhance speech, language, and cognitive skills, ensuring clients feel heard, understood, and safe in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess speech, language, and swallowing difficulties in elderly patients.
- Develop targeted therapy plans to improve communication and speech clarity.
- Provide exercises and techniques to address dysphagia and ensure safe swallowing.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on ongoing practice and communication strategies.
- Monitor progress and refine treatment plans to achieve the best outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
- Experience with geriatric patients or home health care preferred.
- Strong communication, empathy, and active listening skills.
