We provide medical care, in-home support, hospice and palliative care, cancer navigation, and 200+ other free services to qualifying seniors. Every service is delivered at no cost, regardless of insurance status.
Role Overview:
As Oncology Navigator, you will guide seniors with new or active cancer diagnoses through the complex cancer care continuum — coordinating appointments, explaining options, connecting to financial aid, and supporting families emotionally. You will work alongside oncology teams to remove barriers to care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct oncology intake assessments for seniors newly diagnosed or in active treatment
- Coordinate appointments across oncology, radiation, surgery, and supportive care
- Connect patients to financial assistance, transportation, meal support, and lodging programs
- Provide emotional support and educate on treatment options, side effects, and clinical trials
- Track outcomes including treatment adherence, satisfaction, and barrier resolution
- Partner with City of Hope, USC Norris, Cedars-Sinai, and community oncology practices
Qualifications:
- RN license (CA) or MSW preferred
- AONN+ Oncology Navigator certification or willingness to obtain
- 2+ years oncology, social work, or care coordination experience
- Strong empathy and ability to navigate complex emotional conversations
- Comfort with end-of-life and palliative care discussions
