Role Overview:
As a Medical Biller and Coder (Home Health), you will accurately assign codes to home health services, submit insurance claims, and ensure prompt reimbursement. Your expertise in billing and coding processes supports our organization’s ability to continue providing essential care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review patient records and assign appropriate ICD and CPT codes.
- Prepare and submit insurance claims for home health services.
- Verify patient insurance coverage, handle claim denials, and resubmit appeals.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payer guidelines and billing regulations.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure accurate documentation.
Qualifications:
- Certification in medical billing/coding (e.g., CPC) preferred.
- Familiarity with home health billing regulations and insurance processes.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in EHR and billing software.
