Before the Visit

During the Exam
- A licensed, experienced ultrasound technologist arrives with portable imaging equipment.
- The sonographer explains the procedure, answers questions, and ensures the senior feels at ease.
- The exam is performed in a private, comfortable space—such as a bedroom or living room.
- Warm gel is applied to the area being scanned, and a handheld device (transducer) is moved over the skin to obtain images. The process is non-invasive and painless.
