Role Overview:
As a Mobile Optometrist / Vision Specialist, you will perform comprehensive eye exams, diagnose common eye conditions, and prescribe corrective lenses. Your care helps seniors maintain their visual health, reducing falls, enhancing daily activities, and improving quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site vision tests, refractions, and examinations.
- Prescribe eyeglasses or recommend treatments for conditions like cataracts or glaucoma.
- Educate patients and caregivers on vision care, eye hygiene, and follow-up needs.
- Maintain documentation and collaborate with other healthcare providers as needed.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) and California license.
- Experience in mobile or home-based optometry services preferred.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach and strong communication skills.
