Role Overview:
As an Elder Abuse Prevention Coordinator, you will identify risk factors, educate staff and families on recognizing abuse, and implement strategies to prevent mistreatment. You’ll collaborate with local authorities, social workers, and healthcare teams to ensure seniors receive prompt intervention and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver training on elder abuse prevention, recognition, and reporting.
- Coordinate with agencies, law enforcement, and social services for case management.
- Conduct assessments to identify at-risk seniors and recommend protective measures.
- Monitor and track incidents, analyze data, and refine prevention protocols.
Qualifications:
- Experience in social work, gerontology, or healthcare advocacy.
- Knowledge of elder abuse laws, reporting requirements, and prevention strategies.
- Strong communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
