Role Overview:
We seek a caring and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. The CNA will be vital in delivering hands-on care to our senior clients, providing support with daily activities, and ensuring their comfort and dignity. This position is ideal for a compassionate individual with a strong desire to impact seniors’ lives positively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist seniors with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Provide mobility assistance to patients, including helping them move in and out of beds, chairs, and wheelchairs.
- Offer emotional support and companionship, helping to create a safe and welcoming environment for seniors.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring that dietary needs and preferences are met.
- Maintain a clean and safe patient environment by changing linens, sanitizing equipment, and keeping rooms tidy.
- Communicate any changes in a patient’s condition to the nursing patient with prompt and appropriate care.
- Support patients with exercises and physical activities as outlined in their care plans.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties related to patient care.
- Comply with all safety and health regulations, including infection control protocols.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay updated on best practices in elderly care.
Qualifications:
- Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of California.
- Experience as a CNA, particularly in working with elderly patients, is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, focusing on empathy and patient care.
- Ability to work as part of a team, collaborating effectively with healthcare professionals.
- Physical capability to assist with lifting, transferring, and supporting patients.
- Familiarity with basic medical procedures and patient care standards.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
